Firstly a very handsome Sikh shows how to tie a Patiala Style turban. This style was made popular by Maharajah Bhupinder Singh of the erstwhile princely state of Patiala. The style is frequently called Patiala Shahi Dastaar (or Royal Patialia Turban), This style is very popular and will make any man look very manly and handsome. Note that a beard is quite mandatory with a turban. A turban just does not look right without a beard.  In the video presentation below, the handsome Sardar is  six feet one inches tall so when he wears his Patiala style turban he is  six feet three inches tall.

Meanwhile at the Nagpal Turban Tying Academy in the City of Jullunder, professional Turban Coach Jaura shows young lads how to tie that great turban which will make the girls run after them. This style is a variation of the Patiala style turban and is more pointed. It is very popular with the younger generation.

More turban tying  magic from turban coach Jaura Nagpal:

It started out as Sikh boys in Jullandar going to The Jaura Nagpal Turban Tying Academy to learn how to tie that great turban so that they would fantastic for their lady friends. Then it expanded and now I hear that even people from abroad  have travelled to Jullandar to learn that great, fine art of turban tying from Turban Coach Jaura Nagpal

And meanwhile, the bodies hit the floor at the Jaura Nagpal International Turban Tying Academy:

Meanwhile at the Ferozepuria Turban Academy, Sikhs stand tall in their turbans:

Do you want tie a great turban, then the first thing you need is a wife who will do the ‘pony‘ with you. Which is one more reason why Sikhism is a purely heterosexual religion. And while we are on the subject of wives, Sikh men typically take longer to dress up than females. After all a Sikh warrior must always look his best for his bridegroom ( since real Sikhs are married to Death).

At the Barnala Sardar Club we find out why Sikh men spend more time dressing up than females. The style below is called Barnala Style it is popular among young lads of the Bhatinda district.

Meanwhile 15 minutes later …

  1. I would love to know where all the different turban styles come from. When i was young there was only one style of turban. And always one style in pictures – which if painted by a Hindu will have some bias. Anything painted 500 years ago must be checked properly as it most likely comes from Brahmin extremist sources. But perhaps not. Maybe there was a smart style and a war style?
I guess the smart style is the Patiala style. What about the Bhindrawale style and the style the guru jis wore. Why are people in these times starting to tie turbans all different to each other?
Gurmat is all about ONE. Whether it be god or wife. ONE is the messege all the way through. ONE soul, ONE god, ONE human race. ONE granth. ONE doctrine. ONE phylosophy. Truth of the ONE eternal creater.
I would like some clarity on this one. Thanks. Great article.
